The majority of Cantey’s professional experience has revolved around analyzing small and middle market companies for potential investments. She was formerly a Vice President in the Wells Fargo Merchant Banking Group where she worked with a group of 10 professionals charged with investing the bank’s capital in equity or subordinated debt positions. More recently, Cantey analyzed potential venture capital deals and monitored the financial performance of companies owned by Pinnacle Power Holdings.
A native of Charlotte, Cantey earned her B.S. in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her MBA from the Owen School at Vanderbilt University. She has been active in multiple community organizations, including her children’s PTA, First Presbyterian Church, and the Lakewood Preschool Cooperative. Most recently, she served as Board Vice Chair and Development Chair at Thompson Child and Family Focus. Cantey lives in Charlotte with her husband and spends her free time traveling to the mountains and visiting her three grown children, as well as struggling to improve her game on the golf course.
