Chris leads North Inlet’s restructuring advisory practice. His restructuring experience spans three decades, and he has worked on over a hundred matters as an advisor, workout principal and investor in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Prior to joining North Inlet Chris was a senior banker for nearly two decades with Wells Fargo Securities. Most recently Chris was Head of the Restructuring Advisory practice and part of the Mergers and Acquisitions team. In that role he focused on restructuring advisory, liability management and distressed M&A. Mr. Ullrich joined Wells Fargo in 1988 via First Union as a Managing Director and partner in the Special Situations Group, responsible for managing proprietary distressed investing positions as well as distressed syndicated financings. From 2003 to 2006 he was Head of Structured Products principal investing. From 2006 to 2009 Mr. Ullrich was Head of Strategic Transactions for Wachovia Corporation, responsible for corporate acquisitions and divestitures, strategic investing and complex transactions. From 2009 to 2010 he was Head of Capital Management for Wells Fargo Corporation.
Chris was a Managing Director with UBS from 1994 to 1998 and worked at The Bank of New York/Irving Trust Company from 1984 to 1998.
Chris received his B.A. from Hamilton College and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
Chris is married with three daughters. He is a former director of American Household Inc. (fka Sunbeam Corporation) and Wells Fargo Bank International (Dublin). He serves on the Audit Committee of the Charlotte Ballet and is a former director of Charlotte Junior Soccer.
